Keeping Our Clients Informed

At CloudTec, we are committed to transparency and compliance with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) regulations. As part of our professional responsibilities, we ensure all clients – both current and prospective – are informed of key regulatory matters. 1. Tax Practitioners Board Public Register

The TPB maintains a Public Register of entities including current registered tax and BAS agents. CloudTec is a registered tax agent with the TPB. You can verify our registration and find details about our credentials by visiting the TPB Public Register.

2. Complaints Process

If you have any concerns about the tax services we provide, please get in touch with us  first by writing to your accountant or  admin@cloudtecaccountants.com.au or calling 07 3162 9750. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the TPB. You can submit a complaint in writing via the TPB Complaints Page.

3. Your Rights and Responsibilities

As our client, you have certain rights and obligations under Australian taxation laws.

We are required to act in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009. Our obligations include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring ethical and professional standards,
  • Acting lawfully in the client’s best interests,
  • Acting honestly and with integrity,
  • Having arrangements in place to manage any conflicts of interest,
  • Taking reasonable care to ensure that the taxation laws are complied with,
  • And providing services in a competent and timely manner.

Similarly, your obligations to us include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Making all relevant information available to their registered tax practitioner in a complete and timely manner
  • Being truthful with the information provided to their registered tax practitioner
  • Advising of any changes in any matter that is relevant to the tax agent services that are to be provided by their registered tax practitioner
  • Keeping the required records and providing information to their registered tax practitioner on a timely basis
  • Being co-operative with their registered tax practitioner’s requests, and meeting their due dates.

4. Disclosure of Prescribed Events

In the interest of full transparency, if any of the following prescribed events have occurred within the last five years, we are obligated to disclose them:

  • Suspension or termination of registration by the TPB.
  • Bankruptcy or external administration.
  • Conviction of a serious taxation offence.
  • Conviction of an offence involving fraud or dishonesty.
  • Court-ordered penalties for breaches of tax-related laws.

At CloudTec, we maintain the highest standards of integrity, and we will inform clients should any of these events apply.

5. Limitations on Services

If our TPB registration is subject to specific conditions that limit the scope of tax services we can provide, we will notify you accordingly.

We will inform you of these details when you engage or re-engage our services or upon request.
